Setting: INTERIOR, MAGIC LOUNGE, morning PALAZZO TOWER (THE VENETIAN) - MORNING

A mirrored art deco bar is eerily empty. Big beautiful blue murals of illuminated bulbs shimmer across glass surfaces.

We track the room to find ... The Managers ... sitting at a large round table. Everyone is tense. Renee holds court.

EXTERIOR, SUBURBAN VEGAS CUL DE SAC - DAY

RAND sits on the curb outside a grand stucco McMansion. He smokes a cigarette. A beautiful WOMAN exits the house with her small white lapdog, BEN BEN, on a pink leash. She hands it to him. He scowls.

INTERIOR, VEGAS HOTEL HALLWAY - DAY

This is not a typical luxury resort hallway. We can get a glimpse of the lush wall paper and chic lighting fixtures, but the space has been FILLED from the floor to the ceiling with stacks and stacks of suitcases. Miraculously, they balance on one another. A small pathway has been created down the center. We hear an elevator DING and JAN appears. Her face falls when she sees the stacks.v
